Allegheny Valley School District | Acmetonia Primary School

This project included careful preconstruction planning for phasing, classroom use,
and overall safety for the students since the school would remain occupied during
construction. Most of the construction schedule was set up on shift work to avoid
interruptions for the students' daily programs.

The project featured:
- New classroom wing addition
- New computer room and music room additions
- Extension and upgrades to the gym-including a new wood floor and
bleachers
- A complete renovation to the cafeteria including reconfiguration for all new
cooking and cooler equipment
- Installation of a new two stop elevator
- Complete upgrades to the existing mechanical, electrical, tele/data and life
safety systems

Site improvements included: new sanitary, storm, and water services, asphalt
paving, sidewalk and landscaping
